honda trophy truck.
« on: September 14, 2010, 06:45:47 pm »
o.k. so i was looking around to get inspired for my cr-v6 project and stumbled across this.  i noticed this part of the forum is inactive so lets see who's paying attention.  http://www.fourwheeler.com/featuredvehicles/129_0605_desert_race__honda_ridgelin/index.html
it's not so much the truck itself but some of the details of the build especially the "tune/tuner" involved.(start reading after the first set of pics on the second page)
just thought some may be interested.
also notice the date; where have we been?

they did a one off setup for them . there engine is a 07 j35a8 engine which is DBW and C.A.N. base system . so it is possible to hack the 06 to 2010 because there all CAN systems

I say it's respectable idea but in terms of choosing this vehicle in Baja...poor decision. The Ridgeline has to be the worst choice in terms of modding. A sub 300hp motor in that heavy truck competing in sandy environment just seems like it would be really slooooooooooow.

Slap a TT J37 in that sucker and watch the sand turn into pavement...
