Interesting.. I plan on taking my flywheel to a local machine shop here soon and wonder what they will say to me.

if your flywheel is too far out of spec, getting it cut may remove too much material rendering it useless due to it being dual mass.
just get a new one.

for info!! does any one know the lash or play limit - movement-side to side in the flywheel.. how much should it have ? and mine has some "wobble" to it also, found this out buy using a small pry between the two sections... seem s to me if i did use it that it would cause some issues down the road....

The Honda Service manual does not give a spec for the side to side movement your talking about. I looked 2 times to be sure.

Very little shops will machine a dual-mass flywheel. Just buy a new one from LUK, its a lot cheaper then buying from Honda/Acura. LUK makes the flywheels for them. From what I hear though is that its on backorder for a few weeks.

Found a place to do it for under 50 bucks..
I'm just not convinced on aftermarket flywheels yet, keep hearing bad things with their crank sensors (magnets)

im sure somebody knows a way around that damn sensor or at least i wish they did haha . also i know there will be a solution for us soon but in my thinking there has to be a way to trick the ecu or bypass that sensor or something but i guess there havent been enough people doin the full manual swap to make it a priority. if anybody has any ideas i would love to hear em cuz that is all thats keepin me from driving my car to IA
