View Full Version : J32A3 Fuel Setup?

My engine ('05 TL J32A3) has a returnless system.

Should I be going aftermarket for a fuel setup? (regulator, lines, fittings)

From the researching I've done these kits are awfully expensive and non-OEM. Could I get the lines, regulator, etc, from a CL-S and use that on my engine? I was also considering using the fuel pump from the TL which as the regulator on it and run that, being able to keep my current fuel setup.

your rite it can get a little expensive depending on how you do it but it isnt incredibly difficult to do i think i spent a little over 400 dollars on my stuff which included 20 feet of 6an russel proflo black hose, aeromotive fpr, some weld on fittings for the fuel rails after we popped the cap out of the other end, and a bunch of other fittings. it looks pretty cool me or "becoming" will get some pictures up at some time

Im going to be running a custom fuel line setup with inline filter as well. May have to hit you up for some thread pitch specs...

All the hoses and lines will be -6 AN, The fuel feed you will need a -5 AN tube sleeve and nut, and the return will need to be a -4 AN sleeve and nut. You will also need an adapter for each one to step up to -6 AN to match the rest of the system, but overall it's not hard at all, just gotta flare them 2 lines and screw everything together.

I already have most of the stuff just not the fitting for the fuel rail/feed and return thanks

What colors are you doing? I have some black tube sleeves and nuts.

Thanks guys but um, noone really answered any of my questions.

I know it will be expensive if I go aftermarket. That's the point. I'd like to stay OEM. I'd rather buy new or used OEM instead of new or used aftermarket.

Can I use the CL-S setup? Will that work with my Integra?
Can I use the TL pump and run that to utilize the returnless setup?

Don{RPM Systems} says he is just running the returnless system in his EG/EK setups without any problems, but you will have to extend the feed line so it'll reach you factory fuel filter location on the firewall.

To go OE I believe you will need the the rear or both fuel rails as well as the regulator assy.
From the 03 cl-s (auto or 6spd should do). Looks like from your pics it will bolt right up.
Then you should be able to stay with an OE setup.

What I was getting at was we did Acidbaths setup like my K swap, we cut hit feed line off down by the steering rack and deleted the factory fuel filter completely and ran all new lines from the lowest part of the engine bay like this...

Only difference is that we have run it just over the steering rack and back under and behind the rack to conceal everything along with tucking his brake lines.

Went ahead and took some pics of Acidbath's fuel line setup

OK that's awesome. Thanks for the pics guys. They really help.

Good to know the CL-S rails will bolt up, I figured they would. So if I decided to go returnless, like the TL, I would only need one line from the tank right? I believe the regulator is on the pump, or inside the tank somewhere. I think there is a vapour line as well but that doesn't really matter. The TL pump appeals to me more and more, then I don't need to upgrade my pump and it's still OEM.

I think I'll cut the broken piece off that line, flare it, and make a connection instead of buying the new part.

The FPR on the CL/TL engines isat the end of the rear fuel rail where it splits to seperate into the two rails. And I don't think you will wanna try putting a CL/TL fuel pump in your car since it has 5 wires that go to it compared to 2 in the civic.

No, didn't think about it, just basically had an -6 AN fitting welded onto each end of the 2 rails, run the feed into the passenger side rear rail, looped out the other end, into the front drivers side rail, the out to the FPR...manifold covers most of it.

There is no regulator on my engine, anywhere. It's just fuel lines and rails. (Ah crap, just realized that it may have broken off and that's wht's missing in my pic.

I was wondering if the TL's have the regulator on the pump. I would just use the pump and run a returnless system. Any idea what the other 3 wires are for?

This is going into an Integra and I assume the Teg has a 2 wire pump too?

i have no clue about the tl wiring but you could probly find that regulator fairly easy at a dealership parts dept.

I think I have a stock CL regulator if you want it.
