hood clearence?

im new to this site... and i have been researching on the j swap in a eg.... hard to find info.... but im slowly finding it.... just wondering how much of the engine actually sits above the hood line on a eg civic with a acura cl 3.2 type s? or does some one have a measurement if the motors over all height? from oilpan to highest point so i can do some figuring casue id like to advoid the whole hood cutting issue... id rather stay on the sleeper side... but i wanta figure out how much ground clearance i will have if i fab up some custom mounts

Look around at some of the builds here and you'll find several options and fixes for both hood and ground clearance issues. I opted for ground clearance over hood clearance. Evs-one made his own mounts. I used Hasport mounts. Hondaboy I believe is using Inovative mounts. Yes there are options. Some people are cutting, spacing and pasting. Keep looking until you find what you like.

Any idea how much they run? Any different than hasports mounts???

I think they will sit a little more back and lower. I believe he told me they would be in the 400 range...
