so i installed a new idle air control valve on my car and it fixed my surging problem but the other night i finally drove my car and when it starts to warm up the car surges but when the fan comes on the surging stops but when the car gets to full running temperature it will surge all the time i installed new gaskets on my throttle body even on the intake manifold i burped my rad 5 times now i sprayed throttle body cleaner everywhere to check for vac leaks and nothing any ideas would be really appreciated im really stuck at this point

motor auto or manual ? you might have to adjust the fast idle screw on the throttle body. the screw will be covered up with a little gray stuff . peal it out and adjust the screw. this goes for all the j motors, manual and auto.

have you tried to replace the iacv? every time i get one of these j motors from the junkyard the iacv are frozen up . the bushing go bad. try replacing the iacv first . then while car is running disconnect the drive 3 . d14 and b14 . if by disconnecting them the idle starts to working , then you will have to set up a switch off the throttle body.
