I'd guess the model that came with a b20.. 98ish.
They have similar mounts to EK's soyou could probably base the mounts off that.. Could be done with not tooo much fab work, and would be pretty neat.

I have considered this swap myself. Would make a great baby hauler.
I was thinking of droping the kids off at school and heading to the track for fun. 12 sec CRV would be nice. Maybe use the Pilot 4WD set up or even the S2k rear end. Would like to see this swap happen at some point.

Tim at API was the first guy to really go mainstream with the V6 swap. He's probably the most knowledgeable guy out there when it comes to V6 Hondas. He designed the HAsport mounts for them as well.
I've been wanting to find a blown CRV to throw my swap into. Better beat me to it!~!!!!

do you want a 2007 j35a8 TL type-s 6 speed or are you looking to do a j37 with the 07 tl tranny 6 speed ? if you use the 07 tl type-s engine you can use the normal style mounts for the j37 combo, as well as the j37 rl engine can use the same mounts too.

Sounds like you need a shop to do the work for you...

it's actually the wife's current daily, but as soon as the exhaust valves start to recede into the head and start missing then the b20 bottom is going into my 93 ls turbo'd civic sedan (it's purple, we call it grimace) and a j35(?) will be headed in. my plan though is to keep a/t 4wd with an 03-04 pilot trans, custom prop-shaft, and a lsd from a yet unknown donor, will need to find something as close as possible to the pilots final drive of 4.428 as i can. then i plan to go up with bigger wheels and flares and possibly some form of a "lift". tee hee

Damn and every one here in NC thought i was crazy for wanting to put a v6 in a first gen crv.
for the crv swap you can use the 96-00 civic j mounts and for wiring it is almost identical to the 99-00 civic
this swap should not be hard at all unless you are trying to keep the awd system

if you can find the honda oddesy ex mini van , they came all wheel drvie sport package . you will have to cut down the drive shaft a little but it will go in.

I thought that was only in Grand Turismo? As I've been a tech at a Honda dealer in a very heavily mini van influenced area of north GA for over 9 years now and have yet to see this Honda Odyssey ex mini van all wheel drive sport package.

OK, Ive been looking at the factory manuals and etm's for the early pilots and it doesn't seem too unreasonable as the pilot vtm4 system has its own separate control unit which only looks for certain inputs that can still be provided so long as the crv used already has abs(it needs individual wheel speed signals). The only other thing is you have to be certain to use the rear end from the same vehicle the 4wd transmission came from as there are many varied final drive ratios between the various 4wd honda/acura vehicles and it is imperative they are correct. Using the newer 4wd jseries manual trans might be a little more involved as there may be more/different system monitoring or other types of inputs.
