how do you even know your in limp mode?

It should throw a limp mode code... if it has the traits of limp mode aka runs rich, only revs to 5800, loss of power, but no code then your in park.

yeah..i can only rev to 5800, i just got myself a 2002 tL base ecu to replace my odyssey ecu and it still rev to 5800, is there a way to fix this or does this all have to do with the harness?

Don has told me that all you do is wire pin b14 to pin d14 and that puts it in drive... isn't working for me though...

i talk to don today..he told me it's running correctly since i'm using auto motor and auto ecu..so in order for me to rev higher i need to switch some auto part to manual part or just get a stand alone ecu..i'm thinking about getting megasquirt as my stand alone

If your revving to 5800 that definately isn't correct.

yeah i know it's not correct..it sucks..and then my car would bog at idle and then when i step on the gas it would feel like fuel cut and then my car would die if i'm going 80mph and put it into neutral and my car rpm would drop and my car would die..then i put it back into gear and it would start up again

Sorry to bring this back up but i just wanna get it straight so I buy all the thong I need and don't waist time and money seeing as to how both are hard to come by for everyone.
I'll use my setup as an example:
03 tls auto j32a2
03 tls auto harness
03 tls auto ecu
limp mode is caused cuz the car thinks it's in park?
If I use dons information and make my motor manual using his parts list with part numbers, will I still use the auto ecu/harness? And will that cure the limp mode problem?
There are still some loose ends with the info on limp mode.

I know for a fact you will need the 6mt ecu after u converted your auto engine with the new parts and I'm 90% sure that you gonna need the manual harness

Can limp mode be avoided while keeping the engine auto, harness, n ecu? Or is converting it the only option?

I dont know about yall buttt... This worked for me. I connected the b14 and d14 wires together and my shit went from 7800rpm - 9000 and vtec engauged FINALLLLLLLLY!!!!!!!!!

the tach is off . the car revs only to 6000 rpms. but i am happy you got it working .
