You can modify the J engine harness for an automatic to work with the swap into a Civic, and the flywheel is what you bolt your clutch to ;)

so if my engine was originally an automatic...J35A4 from honda odyssey with tranny 6sp honda accord
will i need to modify the harness and the ecu will be from the honda odyssey or the honda accord still automatic..

I meant you will have to modify it to work into your Civic.

Bolt it together once you get a flywheel and clutch....No modification needed.

ok great so it will only have to be fit on the crank shaft,..

If your using the ODY computer then yes the Accord clutch kit and flywheel will work fine. Don't forget to get the flywheel bolts and pressure plate bolts as well. Not the same as the ones on your ODY engine.
