Since the AEM plug and play is still a few weeks-months from the release date, I decided to try a Apex i VAFC.
I know they are out dated and wont work as good as a real management system but some thing is better than nothing at all right? I gained power on the entire band by just adjusting the air fuel ratio and changing the VTEC transition. My J motor ran really lean from 1100 Rpm to about 3700, then ran rich from 3800 to 6300. The bonus part is bought the VAFC for $25 so say what you will but I saw and felt the imporvment all motor and on nitrous.
Big thanks to Erick and willy at Erick's racing engines for the long hours of tuning sqeezing every last bit of power, Brian @ Hasport for making such great mounts, KRIZN Industries, John @ M&H tires, Mike @ High end auto sports, Frank @ F&S Clutches (everything breaks but the Clutch Frank) Fonzee for all the help and putting aside his V6 to finish mine.
This is the all motor Horse power differance.

I'm running a J35A3 Acura MDX motor, I matched ported the cylinder heads with the manifold runners milled both cylinder heads .030, I put a 72mm throttle body.Tom @ portflow port match the intake opening to 72mm, cleaned the top of the pistons with a dye grinder soft pad for a smooth finish.
Changed a few things inside of the intake manifold, Other than that every thing is stock. I'm running a modified Megan header with a 2 3/4 inch exhaust.
On the nitrous the motor made 362hp and 373lb ft of torque.
Im running the car this weekend @ California speedway 1/4 mile I will update with those times.

Here is a video from Irwindale, I dont know who filmed it but that's me vs. an Evo.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3GqOh3AssJk
Remember this track is 1/8 mile best time there was 7.62 @ 91 mph.
I did a 1.626 60 foot.
According to this web site that pass should be a 11.90 1/4 mile.

But I wont really know until I run 1/4 mile this weekend.

Latest 1/8th mile update, after adding metal bushings to the front control arms, new rear control arms, and having the car corner weighted and aligned it went 7.04 @ 97 mph last night.
According to this web sight that is just in the 10 second 1/4 mile barrier.
http://www.eldemoniorojo.com/calculator.htm
I am very excited and very happy with the latest pass, there has been alot of research and development in the past 48 days just trying differant things and getting the car to just go a few tenths faster every week. It all feels like the hard work is paying off. I CANT wait to run the next quarter mile event. Special thanks to West end alighnment, Ericks racing engines (erick, willy), pro car inovantions(Brian), Hasport(Brian), High end autosports(Mike), willy works(willy), fonzee, snicker, KRIZN Industries, and M&H tires(John).
