02' auto j32a2 ecu?

I've been gathering up parts and doing research for my j-swap. I bought a 02 j32a2 auto motor+ecu+harness and 04' accord 6spd tranny. What will I need to do in order to run this and not have to worry about the ecu running in limp mode since there is no auto tranny?

Will the motor run right with the non type-s ecu?

your main problem is making sure that the ecu is a non type-s auto ecu. if you have a auto type-s ecu you will have a limp mode issue.

So the auto tl-s ecu (PXG) will not run correctly at all or is there a fix?

So the non type-s pje ecus will work? What about fuel/timing Maps and vtec?

from what i understand, odyssey and base model tl cl auto ecu's will run it without limp mode, the tl-s and cl-s auto ecu's look for some tiptronic jazz that puts them in limp mode when attached to the manual tranny. thats what i got from a conversation with don a while back

edit: and about the vtec, im pretty sure the j series are all vtec, correct?

Makes sense, I was just wondering about the timing/fuel since the type-s makes more horsepower then the base.

So, the non type-s auto ecu from a 01-03 will work for my 02 type-s?

this is exactly what ive been looking for... because im running almost exact same setup... 02 tl type s j32a2 auto motor and 06 accord six speed... my only question is between the odyssey ecu and the base model tl/cl.. i was told to get the odyssey ecu for a higher torque curve due to strong engine map? any truth to this... im swapping this into my 98 ek coupe... and ive heard of two main sources of ecu guru's rpm systems and api for plug and plays... i have read that if i mail in my 98 ek coupe ecu and the ecu for my swap then either of those companies will do the hard work for me so i would like some light shed on which is better.. odyssey or base tl ecu... thanks again if there is any truth to what ive been told/read before thanks again gentlemen!
