I just drilled and tapped the crossover pipe. Just below the EGR there is a flat spot on the coolant crossover pipe where the pilot and Odyssey have this sensor installed. I get some pics and drill and tap sizes. Did mine last night .
took about 30min first time. Or you can do as RPM Systems has posted above either will work. The way I am describing requires removal of the crossover pipe in order to get all the Aluminium shavings out.
I am sure there are other fixes as well

x2...this is the CORRECT way.

You want cylinder head coolant temp. You don't want the temp of any external hoses- this will only be accurate if all the water in the cooling system is at the same temp, which it will never be. If you have a stuck t-stat, the water in some of the external hoses will give a reading that the engine is at normal temp, although cylinder head temps are too high. Having this sensor in the proper place is vital. Myself and Tim at API do the exact same :)

EDIT- it's a 1/8" NPT tap...really easy to get anywhere.
