which ecu revs the highest????

just trying to figure out which ecu revs the highest.. so far i have used the tl type s, cl base and tl base.. using a 03 j32a2 auto motor..

tl type s- 5,600 rpm
cl base- 5,900 rpm
tl base- 6,000 rpm

any one have seen anythat rev any higher???

From what I experienced with my 2004 tl it dies out at high rpm's and to my knowledge thweres no need to rev them high they not made for high rev

According to my dyno plot my rev limiter (factory) is at 7,000 rpm. 2003 CL-type S

what cel codes do you have??
i have 5 codes im thinking its running in limp mode.. because its only reving to 8,200 on my tach which is equivelant to like 5,600..

primary 02 heater circuit
secondary 02 heater circuit
an imobilizer code
2 auto matic trans codes

Do u have to use the same ecu as the motor? Or would t be worth having it reprogramed?

the CL / TL auto ecu's P8E . the non type-s ecu will rev out to 6800 max . the only ecu's that rev. above that is 03 CL type-s manual and the 02-04 Honda oddessy touring edition which both rev out to 8200. as far as wolydotmatrix you max power band was at 7000? or did the car rev 7000? we are using a autometer tach in the CL J swap we have now and it bounce off at 8200. o by the way the the tach is set for V6.

Looks like it stopped making power around 6400 and the fuel cut is aound 7000.
Never pulled the codes, does not look like its down on power, What do you think Don??

mine doesnt go to 8200...

more like 7200 tops. that's rev limiter.

what i have seen on the autometer it goes to 8200. l will read the data in the car off the dlc port as soon as i can for you guys and show u whats up.

thanks for the info don.. and would you know the code off of the oddesy ecu? and also it seems they only make the touring edition oddesy from 05 and up o 02-04 are only base lx and ex will the newer ecus 05 and up work with the swap?
