i wanted to do a swap to my 98 honda accord v6, my tranny went at least 4 times, and my j30 is high millage, i was wondering is it worth it to get a j32a2 and put the 6 spd tranny or should i use the j30 with 6 spd tranny, i wont do alot of racing but all my friends have suped up civic, i at least wanna be able to keep up or pass some. what parts would i need to do this, even though its a heavy car does it keep up and handle well with the other cars, i was thinking about auto x a little and daily driving.ty.

depends on of a lot of factors. if the motor you have , j30 , is a dizzy motor or COP setup? if you state you have to pass DOT inspection ? for that car you don't have to rewire the cars body harness to do the j32a2 automatic motor and tranny . but if you can find a 03 cl type-s manual, it will drop in for the most part , but some slight wiring will have to be done. if you go with the auto j32a2 motor and the 6 speed accord tranny. for the systems to work perfect in that car you will need the RICHY6 box . it will make you stock electrical systems work with the 6 speed tranny with no hick-ups. but this just my opinion.

my j30 is a dizzy set up... so what your saying the best bet is a manual j32a2 and accord or cls/tls manual tranny and richies harness....

auto j32a2 cl/tl type-s with a accord tranny or a 03 cl type-s swap full manual . those setups will work in you car.
