can you use the 2004+ acura tL ecu? for the 2002 harness?

i believe the 04+ ecus are drive by wire which you probably wana stay away from

ok, but just wondering...if i use a 2002 tL base model ecu, would that raise my rev limit higher than 5800?

Im using a 02 base TL ecu. I am getting a 5800 rev limit also. Running 02 J35 with 02 TL auto trans. Only codes are ELD and O2 sensors... Please PM me if you figure anything out...

5800 is limp mode/park... i'd ask the accord/tl guys what they rev to to see what you should be revving to.

Mine will go to about 7200 via Richie's module harness. P8E 2000 TL.

what does the module harness help with?

It eliminates all auto tranny codes my emulating a automatic tranny to the ecu.

did richie ever figure out how to make that harness work with 02 tL-S auto harness?

Just an FYI the P8F 99-00 Odyssey ecm's Do not have 12 or 22 pin connectors. I have been to 4 salvage yards and pulled them from base and EX Models. Neither have the connectors, If you use this computer, Your speedo wont work.

So I get the 12 plug 22 plug part but I'm a little confused so I hear that u can make the 02 cl type s auto ecu work with the manual swap but then I hear that it goes in limp mode if it don't see the auto shifter please clear this up for me thanks..... I have a 99 tl ecu and a 02 cl type s ecu both auto

Im pretty sure If you have a manual Motor you need to run the ECU for that motor. If you have an auto motor you need to get one of the auto ecu's,P8E, out of something that doesnt have the tiptronic trans. What motor Do you have?
