Has anyone found companys that actually produce pistons or rods for the J motors yet? I kno KMS makes pistons for the V6 accord which is the same bore size. And even if you need custom pistons they have all the specs on hand you just need to specify bore size, valve size and comp ration and they should be able to do the rest from wat they have there. But I haven't found a company that makes a set of rods yet.

what i found from eagle
http://www.eaglerod.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=21&Itemid=32

so $400 for 4 rods, u would have to buy two sets, $800 or split the last set in half, so about $600.

but WE can for SURE use the H22 rods????????????

h beam rods are alot stronger design than i beans they have more mass to them then a i beam..but some motors cant fit a h beam rod so they have to use a i beam..j motors can use a h beam though..

h22 rods are 22mm pin 51mm big end and 143mm c2c lenght j32a2 rods are 22mm pin 58mm big end and 161.8 c2c length if you use h22 u will have to get the crank cut and u will decrease rod stroke Ratio:eek:

K1 technologies will make a custom rod for the J-series. I called eagle first and they said that they do not make custom rods for it. K1 for a 12:5:1 set up is asking $860 which includes ARP2000 rod bolts. JE pistons said they would be $170 each. Just to give you guys an idea.

i want a rod that lowers compression ratio. or a stock forged rod will do.

Well call K1, I had a buddy who builds camaro's recommend them to be a very reliable rod. JE is always a great piston. Im sure JE and K1 will be around the same price regardless of C/R due to it being a custom job.
