Can the difference between the stock and the HR cables really be felt?? Or is it just for a better more durable product? And also probaly a stupid question but can you use stock cables with the HR Box??

yes you can use stock cables with a hybrid racing box... i wouldnt stock cables suck in general cant even remember how many sets of stock cables i have snapped of just a basic kseries...
yes these work perfect for a j series swap... (currently using on mine with a hybrid shifter)
the shifter itself is great theres a little trick to make it work on a jseries trans anyone interested pm me for details
cable upgrade with a stock shifter is NICE!! BUT cable upgrade with a hybrid shifter is AMAZING!!!
but if you want a cheap alternative you can use stock cables with hybrids shifter bushing and will get about the same feel.. but still will not compare
ive been threw a few setups before finally being happy with this now... hope that answered everyones questions

I hear you man, just got my HR Shifter and gonna order the HR cables as soon as funds free up. Thanks for the info. Just curious, how did you solve your pin relocation problem? I saw that some people have welded in a pin opposite to the stock pin location. Is this what you have done?
