There will be a small circuit board with about 12 pins on it that is soldered to the board. It should be kind of by itself. You can either have someone de-solder it or you can just wiggle it back and forth until it breaks of at the pins. My first ecu I had it desoldered and my 2nd ecu I broke it off. Both of which worked fine.

You will get the code p1607 which is due to the immobilizer circuit being gone. Won't cause an issue.

I know how to remove it, I asked something else
what i asked is does it throw a CEL
the only thing you say in your thread is it throws a CODE
a code doesnt always mean a CEL
I love not to have a CEL this way i know when something new appears thats why i ask but a code without cel i could not care less...

if you want me to ask that question on your other thread i can its not a problem ill do it if you ask
so does it throw onyl a code or a code with MIL ?
and if it does MIL when do you think your immo replacement board will be out ? and at around what price
thanks

i can make you a board if you like and it will get rid of the 1607 code . $60 plus shipping. it takes a few days to make the board and program the chip .

and the reason i shown the link was , there a couple of different immobilizer boards out there. just for anyone else that is reading the threads.

its a chip in the ecu and it keeps the car from starting unless you remove the immobilizer or have the key that went to the car the ecu came from
