so i have been doing my research on making your own a plug for the ecu. this is for an automatic ecu 03 tl pge-a58 i havent conformed that it works but everything appears to be correct going by the pin out diagrams. just waiting for my engine harness to come in.

heres what i came up with.

first you will need to get the a plug of an obd2 civic and completely depin it.but save the pins cause you will need them later on.

what i did was take appart a ecu i had laying around to make it plug and play with my obd1 civic harness and use the pins on the other side to connect it to the a plug

i also wired a secondary 02 sensor and the obd2 connector in as well

going off of the wiring diagrams this is what i figured out.

a plug that goes into the ecu:
pins#

1-sec 02 signial wire
4-scan tool 12+
6-evap presure valve
8-02 heater
9-vss out put
10- scs service check signal
15- fuel pump relay
16-12v+ for obd2 diag connector
18- mil light
20-fan control
21-k-line
24-starter signial
30-eld
31- ect gauge
32-brake switch

b series pins to connect to the a plug

a7-fuel pump relay
a12-fan control
a13-mil
a20-evap purge valve
a25- 02 sensor power
b2-02 sensor ground,obd2 diag connector ground
b9-starter signial
b10- vss
d2-brake switch
d4-scs
d10-eld
d13-ect gauge(not sure if this is correct. i believe you need to run a sensor like a b series and connect it here)

i believe this is all for the a plug if i find anything else out i will update it

its not all taped up because im not sure it will work correctly but as soon as i verify it it will be all wrapped up

Very helpful. Let us know if it works or not. I love doing my own wiring and will be looking to do something similar soon.

Very nice work. Looks clean and organized. I am hoping that when I do all this with my integra I can squeeze all the wiring behind the kick panel but I think that's wishful thinking.

I just had some parts shipped from another user on here so I'll be tackling this adventure next week hopefully.

i put my ecu pretty much where the stock one sits and was able to put the jumper harness and everything behind it so it looked real clean or well hidden anyway

Were you able to use at least one hole and bolt it onto the car for rigidity?

i used the hole opposite the plug in side on the bolt closest to the door or seat if that makes any sense

Dumb question, but the extra black plug is an OBD2 16 pin connector? I can't really tell from the pics.
