I have the ecu and harness from API who does and awesome job of building the harness by the way but. NO rev limiter. I have on occasion accidently revved the engine to 9000 rpm not so good. any case how can you put a rev limiter on this engine.

Your 9K rev is the V6 signal on your 4cyl tach. 2 extra cylinder pulses will cause your tach to read high. Mine does the same thing. Shows 9K but really about 7k. No worries. There is a fix coming for this also from another member here.

ok ill give ya the 9000rpm is actualy 7000 but i drove the beast today and hit 10000rpm which should be 7500 when does the rev limiter kick in because i dont think it has one.

Which computer are you using?? My 03 Cls ECU bumps at 9K on my tach.

The honda tach's do read a little high anyway. If your still concerned hook up an aftermarket tach and see where your at. If you bouncing off the rev limiter the weight of the needle may cause it to go a little further as well.

mine stops at 8600 on my teg tach... '03 tl-s ecu. Which means its in safe mode since the rpm is 33% off. Therefore my motor is only revving to 5800. So if you are supposed to rev to we'll say 7500, times that by .33, add that number to 7500 and thats what your tach should rev limit at. So 10k is right around where your rev limit should be at (on your cluster) if your ecu is supposed to rev to 7500.

trust me, i went to 9k in my cl (mis shift) cracked a rocker arm bearing or roller and bent valves. their is no way ur over reving the engine without damage. i went to 8500 once and it was all good still.
