i have a 2000 integra, im wanting to delete the powersteering, a buddy of mine is saying ill have to change the subframe, we both dont know! in need of some help

you can do 1 of 2 things, get a non power steering rack (not sure if a civic one will fit or not) or you can just loop the 2 hoses coming out of the steering rack so it is just one hose connecting both ports on the rack, but no need to change the subframe

92-95 civic rack fits, no need to change the subframe. but just loop the hoses its 1000 times easier.

or use the mazda 3 electric power steering ive been looking into using it i have 2 here in the salvage yard with lines and wires to install

i didn't realize they mazdas have electric power steering, sad thing is we just bought a mazda5, never looked under the hood or thought too

you can also get an ITR rack...forgot about that

type R has power steering...
looping isn't as good of an idea as swapping in a civic rack, because the ratio for power steering racks is much different than manual racks.
but it's easier.

Miata powersteering is what some of the guys use. To get everything is $500-700 though
