03 type-s manual into an eg

first time searching for the j swap and new to the internet, im about to buy an 03 cl type-s manual. ive heard that i cannot used this tranny becasue hasport is not making a mounting kit for this. if it true or not can someone please let me know. thank.

Yes you can as long as it is a Manual 6 spd, not an Automatic. I am using the Hasport set on my build. The CL-s tranny will have to be drill and tapped in one location to bolt up but other than that they are (basically) all the same.

I second that too. I already have an 03' CL type S motor and tranny in my teg and as long as you have the Hasport adaptable mounts, you're halfway set. You'll receive an easy illustrated manual on what to do and where to drill and tap along with the EG/DC mounts. It can also be done in a Del Sol.

There are only a few transmissions that will "bolt up". 03 and newer Accord 6spd, Acura Cl and Tl type-S 6spd.

and what about the ecu? is it related in a kind of way to transmission or not .do i used the accord ecu?

Try to find 6spd ECU. but Auto will work.

and so on
The Acura type S came in Auto and Manual, so Maual is prefered
When looking for a ECU you should specify so you get what you want.

Ok, So i am in the same deli ma here, i really am confused here also, I have the J32a1, and it was out of an auto, i have the auto ecu, and engine harness... I have read many things on here about when putting on a 6speed tranny do i need to replace all the shit for the cams, like triggering sensor, and so on, or can i run this ecu without affects of the performance? i can get everything i need off of the type s 6 speed that includes the ecu, harness and whatever else is needed but the less work the better....

The auto Ecu/engine/harness will work with the manual trans mission. only if your trying to use a Manual ecu/harness on your auto engine will things need to be changed.

Simple: If you have Auto engine then use auto ECU and harness

If you have Manual engine then use manual CU and Harness


The auto and Manual engines use different sensors to do the same job. If you mix and match then you will have spend more money.
