I guess the question would be what size tire and what rubber are you running?

What suspension do you have?

Do you have an LSD or open diff?

(not necessarily putting you in this category)

I find most people buy shitty tires. For example, my stock Acura tires were those shitty Michelin primacy mx4 jobbies. I bought Michelin Pilot Sport's to replace them and I couldn't even squawk my tires from 2nd to 3rd. Also, I lost the ability to really spin from 1st to 2nd. Not only do better tires help you out on going fast, they also help you slowing down, and turning left or right.

I just put my winter tires on the other day and since I am so use to being throttle happy I'm spinning half time just driving around the city. Also, I'm hitting ABS more as well. I gotta stop driving so aggressively... or buy better snows ;)

My tires do suck. For whatever reason, I was never concerned with buying great tires, because they expensive. I would rather keep buying performance mods, when in reality, you need good tires to put the extra power down. What good is spinning through 1st and 2nd? It does no good. With less power and a better tire, the car would be quicker. I always thought money would be better spent on more mods. Little did I know :rolleyes:
