No reverse after sitting

I have a J32 in my EG hatch w/6-speeed LSD trans. Its been sitting awhile while I do body work on it and now that I have the car back together, I cant seem to get it to go in reverse. Ive tried adjusting the linkage but still nothing, please help, thanx.

Could be I did do some rewiring. Where is that solinoid located? Thanx in advance.

its the two pin plug right on top of the trans, just rearward of the trans mount location iirc. unplug it and go for reverse, if it goes in then you know thats the problem

I have no harness at all on my trans.

I can sometimes get it into reverse, but u have to play with a it a little. And when you do, it grinds when its going in.

pull out the lock up solinoid and then check if it is going in revirse . the pin might be locked up.

When I first got mine together. My dad took it out on a drive. He must have hit reverse instead of sixth. I changed out the eitire reverse gear and it fixed it. Maybe yours has hit reverse while moving forward. Mine you could rock the car back and forth with the key off, while trying to put it into reverse and it would go in then.

Got the car back together and started driving it again and everything seems to be fine, Thanx for the input.

I hit my reverse gear several times and now I have no reverse. How bad was the reverse gear when you pulled it out?
