Not to beat the subject to death.... but this is what I have:

RSX Shifter box
Karcept Mounting plate for RSXS Shift box
2004 TL Trans/cables

I installed the shift box today and made a minor over-sight on the TL cables mating with the RSX shift box.

I would like to avoid having to modify anything on the transmission itself
due to it's cost($1100 $100 less then I paid for the car)

I have access to the RSXS cables

I also have access to to a Tl Shift Box
Will it work with Karcept's mounting plate?

If TL box will not work with the K mounting plate then I will move the dowel pin for the RSXS cables

get the rsx-s cables.

i ran 04 tl cables on a hybrid racing shifter box (replaces an rsx box), the side to side cable shifter box mounting end had to be modified (essentially cut off the backside of the white plastic clip and modified a plastic screw plug to act as a press fit bushing into that hole so it would fit that nub. after all that work that cable still needed to be lengthened as it did not grab reverse, there is not enough side to side movement in the cable with that shifter box (rsx-s box too). in the end i hated the shifter position so i scrapped those and went with hybrid racing cables.

although you can give it a shot to modify them as it is free, you will have to cut the backside of that white clip and make a plastic bushing to fit in there with a center hole equal in diameter to the pin. then extend the cable by 5/8" i think < that exact figure can be found on the site most likely in the transmission subforum, dont quote me on that number

i actually think you have them mixed up there, the white clip one should go to the far left that is the side action cable.

the other one is the front/back action cable. they should fit fine except for what i had mentioned previously

edit: now im second guessing myself and dont remember which cable was which; the cable with the larger transmission side end is the front/back cable and should be in the position that you have the white end cable.

Haven't done many J swaps, but doesn't the tranny determine the shifter used if you don't want to modify the shifter arm on the tranny. CL-s 6sp can use rsx style and accord tranny can use accord style. Otherwise you need to mount the pin on the other side of the shifter arm.
I just did a CL-s in a eg for a customer and I used EM2 shifter and cables with the karcepts plate. Cheap from honda and zero modifications.

Yes. Accord/tl transmissions require the f/r throw pin be switched to the other side with a k box, otherwise your shift pattern is upside down. Cl has the same box movements as a k so nothing needs to be done there

Is there a difference between the rsx 5 speed and rsx-s 6 speed shift boxes?
