I will be adding my process so far on my car, the long journey that it is, and start documenting the rest of the build.

Originally got the 2001 Integra LS in 2004 and then took it off the road around 2006 and has been apart ever since. Originally it was an LS, then went to a B20/Vtec, then proceeded to a B18C5 built block with a Crower built B18C1 head and turbo'd it. At that point I destroyed about 4 trannys in less than a month. Tore it apart and sold my motor set up to buy a hatch as a daily and build my teg. My plans were to k-swap the car but after gathering up parts over the course of a few years I decided to junk that idea and go J32a2 for the sake of being different. I was going to do a 6 speed but after talking with Don @ RPM I was set on trip-tronic setup, but with a twist, paddle shifter on the wheel. Well my progress took a backseat to my business that I owned, a sports bar. After 18 months of all work and no fun in the shop we could not renegotiate our lease so we closed up and I took a job doing debt negotiation. I now have a set 40 hour a week schedule, make great money, and have time to spend with my family and in my shop.

Now, on to the build thread!

Nevermind about this guys, found one and used my ohm meter and figured it all out, so that part is done, gonna get my label maker down at my shop and start labeling wires so I am not doing all this now to do it again on the final assembly.

OK, so here is the setup I have for my steering wheel as well as the wiring pin out as I have tested it with am ohm meter and a 9v battery to verify, if anyone does find anything incorrect please let me know. The steering column is from a 99 SI, pretty sure any EK will work, factory Integra combination switch for lights/wipers, Honda Fit Sport clock spring/cable reel, Honda Fit Sport steering wheel with paddle shifters and the wheel wiring x2, part number is in the illustration. You need 2 of the harnesses because it plugs in to both sides of the clock spring/ cable reel, just cut off all the plugs on the dash side and wire them as illustrated below.

The Harness

The last few days I have been in the process of removing the rest of the ABS wiring from the main cabin harness, no pictures though. Its boring work and my hands have been covered with the electrical tape goo once I started working so I wasn't touching my camera or phone, sorry, but trust me, the pictures aren't worth much if I took them, looks a lot like a harness being torn apart lol. Got my auto mounts ordered from Don @ RPM. Also placed my order for what I need for my conversion harness with him. Next month's commission check should pay for that. Updates will keep coming guys!

Well, cleaned my shop up, haven't done much work on my car lately. Gonna get my axles and starter soon, and start making my axles for the automatic swap, wish me luck on that, not too hard though. Anyways, here is a snap shot my buddy took of my shop....actually have a working area up front and storage area in the back.

yes

Well I should start making some progress shortly, hopefully in the next few hours I will have a base tune on another car that was taking space up in my shop, '00 EX with a fully built/sleeved GSR motor, boosted, making 700 whp. It's a buddy of mines in which I have been building for him the last 5 years while he has been in the service and over sea's. Wish me luck! Then the Integra takes top priority!

To go into more detail, 6 fronts and 2 rears, nothing extended studs and wheel spacers won't make fit for the rear wheels to go up front with some street radials on them....

Well big thanks to my man Mike Dean, he is on a couple of forums, but he has atitleless 4door auto teg and he let me steal a bunch of shit off of it. I now have my automatic pedals, rear door handles so I can shave my front locks on mine (the car is going to be completely keyless) and also the rail of fuel and brake lines that runs from the engine bay back to the rear of the car (since my dumbass removed mine and tossed them several years ago). Should see some progress soon. Also many thanks to Don @ RPM, he has my auto mounts all made up and is makeing my trip-tronic gear indicator guage in an amber LED setup to match the rest of my amber ITR lighting in the car!

Quick update:

I started cleaning out the teg since it was its own self contained storage unit lol. Found nice dead mouse in the trunk, that was a lovely surprise, From what I looked at he didn't do any damage to anything thank god. I also got my battery relocation box installed as well and the rear door handles I got from my buddy Mike installed on the front doors. The car is almost completely key less. Just need my push-button start and it'll be completely key less, with the exception of the trunk lock for the valet up front by the door sill. Starting to make some headway!

No progress as of now, still gathering up parts, probably get a lot done after the first of the year. I should have a decent amount of parts gathered up by then and also have a couple of nice fat commission checks from the place of work rolling in hopefully. Until then just some little things, I will have some pictures up some time this next week though with some updates from what I have done lately on it though.

I got a bunch of small parts ordered, mostly writing stuff, and a few things for my alarm. I'm going to be ordering the new alarm soon since I took the old one out and installed it in my fiancées van so she has remote start (oh yea, after 7 years and 2 kids I finally proposed to her on Christmas Eve). I'll with some pictures as it all shows up. Also some pictures of the project I've been doing for my army buddy, 600HP GSR EK.

phat4door

Here is the list of parts I got ordered, not going to explain much about why I got what until I get to installing them, keep you all waiting:
-3 Window Modules to control up/down functions through alarm (3rd one is for sunroof)
-3 Aircraft/NOS style switches
-20 Relays with plugs
-s2000 start button
-DEI 522t power trunk release for alarm setup
-Also my parents got me the j32 header I was looking at for christmas

I'll be at the shop for the next 3 nights so pictures will be coming, although the work the next 3 nights is to get the 600whp GSR EK outta there!

Sorry about the lack of pictures that I keep promising, but I am pulling my hair out with this damn turbo gsr EK for my buddy. Don can attest to it, i just want this car done and gone so I can get back full steam on my DB. It just cranks over and won't start, checked and double checked everything, and of course I am lacking on time to work on it so it is at 40 minute intervals at best right now I can work on it every 3 days or so. It's frustrating but once it fires up I guess it will be worth it. Once it is gone you will see this thread pick up some steam agian and I promise pictures soon! Also a big thanks to Don for all his help with this car so far!

I am using the cruise activation button on the fit wheel for the power on button, and then of course the s2k button for the starter. Since I have bypassed my CC button wiring behind the dash that button was waiting for a new feature on that wheel haha

Good looking out on that Don, went on car-part.com and there is one at the junkyard that I have a good working relationship with the owner, has it listed for $1200 with 115k on it, see if I can get it around $900 cash out the door, plus I can go and at least look at it and put my hands on it. If your hookup can have one shipped to 22849 cheaper than that let me know. I'm going to call on my lunch break and see what he will do me for on the one here.

OK guys, well I think I am going to end up cutting out the firewall and doing RHD, only think that concerns me is I want to keep the cruise control, anyone with RHD have cruise control? I have searched high and low and cannot find any clips or even pictures that have CC on the rhd conversion, is it possible? That's sad that the cruise will be the determining factor for this conversion lol.

I cant see why it wouldn't be possible. for DBW it's controled by the ecu is it not? and for nonDBW it's controlled by cables. there is one cable off the gas pedal (if i remember correctly) and it goes to a "splitter" and two cables get attached to the throttle body. Since we can use B series throttle bodies you could grab one of those, or maybe an Odyssey one. Would just have to find a place to mount the "splitter". I could be wrong but I don't see why it couldn't be done

mine is not a DBW, and there is no splitter, it is a seperate cable that goes to the pedal, problem being the cable needs to be about 2 feet longer to reach to the other side and I have never seen a RHD with CC on it, so not sure they made it for RHD cars. I'm going to call steve @ Hmotors here shortly and ask him.

Per Steve @ HMotorsonline the JDM cars did not have CC because of the roads there being mostly windy, no need for CC, so I need to find a remedy to that problem, next is I need to find a DB8 clip and a set of RHD auto pedals, also a set of glass from the JDM folding mirrors since I threw mine away years ago when I got them so I have the correct angles from the oposite side of the car, anyone have any that came out of their mirrors they don't need laying around anymore?

After I had gotten my sun visors apart I realized that I wasn't going to be able to upholster those so I took it to a local small upholstery shop, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome especially for only $25. Hopefully all my upholstery work is done now.

Well after some research and based on the fact I want to retain cruise control I am staying RHD, going to be too hard to get a RHD auto pedal set with a DB8 clip so no go, more money for other aspects of the car now I guess, also got my wink mirror in the mail yesterday. Got a decent amount of parts on the way here soon so there should be a progress update. I am working on a shit ton of other cars out of my shop currently so they get in the damn way. Did a waterpump on a 03 liberty last night, easy work. Doing a f22b dohc sawp this week into a 95 prelude that had the h23 motor blow up. After that is done I should have time for the teg again. Also have a 96 cherokee AT 4x4 that needs a tranny in the next few weeks too, but atleast they are funding my project so I guess they can cut into the time haha.

Pictures to come shortly, but I got a great deal on some black suede w/red stitching JDM ITR Recaro's, traded my USDM ITR seats and some other random EK parks he could use. Long story short, they have EK rails on them, where in the hell can I source some sliding Integra rails for these? I've looked and can't find crap on them....

I also today finished out modding the EK brackets that came on the Recaro's so they would fit the DC with all 4 bolt holes. I didn't take any pictures of the cut apart rails/sliders but basically I cut the welds on the sides of the back inside mounting tab and then drilled out the pin through the center that holds it to the rail. Once they were removed I bolted both parts up to the chasis and marked everything up and then welded them back together in the correct position. I will have pictures up later of the final product when I get a break from work and can walk out to my truck and snap a picture or 2. Sure as hell beats trying to sell them to get DC brackets or try to trade the EK for DC. Fabrication makes shit so much easier sometimes!

Update:
Well at the end of last week my mom calls me and says, "Hey, just thought you would like to know I found 2 cash bonds in a file here at the house, stop by and get them" Hell yea, FREE Money (minus what I have to pay on taxes of course). So I prioritized my money and I paid off my fiancee's engagement ring I got her in December. The rest is going into the teg.

I went to the junkyard this morning and picked up my auto 04 Odyssey tranny for.....................dramatic pause.................................only $800 (he had it listed on car-part.com for $1395, gotta love being a good friend of the local junkyard owner. Also picked up another gas tank for only $50 with all sensors and such. I also scooped up the auto tranny cable that goes from the tranny to the shifter free courtesy of the owner as well as a front set of seat belts since mine walked away in a UPS box when I was planning on putting in a harness bar and harnesses. The reason I got another gas tank was I had a tank that I sumped and pulled all the useless EVAP sensors and shit off of before changing routes and going J32 where I will need all of it. So I needed a stock tank to put back in the car and the senors were around $400 for what I needed and they all came on the new tank, so I am just transfering them over to the sumped tank and if I ever want to sump this car in the future the tank is already done.

Moral to my story for the day, don't sell off parts to your car before you are sure you don't need/want them. Haha, at least in my case this shit was all from like3-4 years ago when the car was taking another direction.

Pictures to come later today when I walk out to my truck.

Just some trimming of the original surround so the back is flat rather than contoured, then just a piece of abs plastic or carbon timmed to fill the surround gaps between the 2 pieces. You can find some threads on other forums showing how other people did ti. I will take pictures when I get to that stage, first I need to get the dash back in the car, but that entails me to do so much more first....all in due time I guess, but the parts are building up now at least!
