Im not exactly sure what you are asking, but there is not a type S in 2004. clear up your post a little. What car is it going in? are you asking what parts are needed to put it in a specific car?

Are the heads on the J30 messed up? If not just swap out the short block and call it a day.

If the heads are messed up , you might could just swap the IM from the J30 onto the J32, should bolt up but not sure if the sensors are the same on th eheads. The CL-S ECM will be looking for a crankshaft sensor on the CL-S Flywheel that the J30 does not have. 2003 V6 J30 has 4 Oxygen sensors with 2 converters the CL-S does not. I would look for another 2003 J30 and drive it myself. Sell what you have and it should cover what you need to go back stock.

Just saying, it seems like alot of work.

Idk what it would take to work, but it'd be MUCH easier to get an 04-08 TL long block and use the J30 head. Basically what ^^ said. All you'd need is the TL ECU as far as I know. The heads are basically identical from my knowledge as well as the intake manifold(s).
