well it is 5800 that you are cutting off at. if you hook up to the DLC port or have wired one in you will see the car is running at 5800. due to it is a automatic ecu. the manual ecu will let you rev up just a little higher than that anyway.

What should be the nominal cut-off? 7200?

is the black plug hooked up on the back side of the ecu? the E plug. were on a dyno when you are reving it out ? if you did not hook up the shifter to the computer/ecu then it will not shift. you dont have any check engine codes ? or have you tested the codes for the DLC port?

maximum engine speed should be 7200? (On automatic transmission)

E connector is not connected. He may understate the cutoff?
DTC read - HIM (Honda scanner)
dtc Engine - 70 automatic transaxle malfuntstion (mil dont light) VSA is not connected.
The problem is that, at full throttle, shift to second gear comes with a delay of the cutoff at 5500rpm.

I understand that the cutoff should be larger than 5500
I feel that the transmission is waiting more RPM, and the engine that keeps it.

Q:maximum engine speed should be 7200? (On automatic transmission)
A: 6300 rpms trip-tronic / 6800 manual

Q:E connector is not connected. He may understate the cutoff?
A: the E plug has the MODE select in it . if that is not hooked up then the car won't shift or rev up to 6300. there is 4 wires thAt need to be hooked up off the E plug. shift up , shift down, sport mode , and normal mode.

until the video i did not know you were running trip-tronic. sorry.
