Hey guys new bee Here hey I just bought a j30a4 motor,tranny, wire harness and ecu for 200bucks and I want to put it in my 2000 civic si body but don't know one thing bout how to start can you guy help me out.what else do I need? What am I missing? Is this a good swap cause from everything I read every body go to a j35 swap? So how much work am I looking at? I'm not looking for to build this for street use I only want it as a drag car you know something to drive down the track on the weekend. By the way will pictures of the motor and body look like help if I post them?thank

i hoe you got a matching key with the ecu. look up DBW info . that will get you on your way.

What's dbw mean hey man new bee here don't know the first thing bout starting this swap I have seen this swap in a eg and a ek hatch but not in a ek couple that what I'm trying to do and you can tell me this is a simple swap I bet you had a hard time doing it. I don't mean to sound rude but I really need some help to point me in the right direction this my first swap. Really could use some help and slack when it come to explaining this swap thanks again

maybe 3 years a ago. the engine you have is DBW - DRIVE BY WIRE. look at the thread that talks about the j32a3 engine , because it is also DBW. to convert it to standalone you will not have a fun time.

those pic of a j30a1 1998 -early 1999 accord with a 3 speed auto w/ overdrive . it does not use the stander honda ecu.

Not to be, or sound like a dick, this swap is pretty complex, sounds like your best bet would be buying a plug an play harness from don at rpm systems, then order your mount kit from hassport, or if u plan on using the auto trans, you'll have to make a mount for the trans. You might be better off finding a good shop in the area to do this for you, this aint no b swap, the info is out there but u have to collect it yourself.
