Scary parts total, alternatives?

So I NEED these parts to get up and running. But besides the ECU, are there alternatives or other parts I can use instead? I heard that a newer D series throttle body bolts to the J series and that it uses a D series IACV? True? Can I use a MAP from the D series? Can I fab up a D series air temp somehow? Does it use the same signal?

I have the engine harness that came with the motor. (J32A3) I'd like to know what I can use that I already have. I don't mind piecing a harness together from odds and ends. Wiring is my specialty. I just need to know what plugs to use. Help me out!!

ben is right car-part.com is your friend me and "becoming" bought two automatic cl type s ecus from a junkyard for 70 dollars shipped so that should save a good 650 . and the harnesses are pretty cheap to if you arent planning on making the butterfly flap in the intake manifold work then you can use a base model harness off of an 01-03 cl

OK so I want the cabin harness from the base model CL?

I have the TL engine harness, so the CL one will plug into this? Will I throw codes without the butterfly system? Why should I get an AUTO ECU?

did your engine come out of a manual or automatic car? from what i understand it will throw a code if the IAB stuff isnt hooked up but to make it work you need the control unit in the kick panel on the driverside in the car
