Hey everyone. I have just about everything I need to start my swap. I have a 95 civic sedan. Before I start my swap, my only question is: How will the rain effect the engine while it is sticking outside of the hood? I live in jacksonville florida and when it rains it pours!!! This is gonna be my daily driver so that is why I am asking if driving in the rain will effect the engine in any way? I know this may be a stupid question to some but no question is a dumb question in my books. It is the questions that aren't asked, that are the stupid ones. Thank you all.

I know Hasport makes a mount kit with 2 different engine mounting options...one below the hood and one above the hood...the problem with the one below the hood is that the oil pan sits dangerously low...I would recommend the mount kit from a guy on v6performance.net named nva-av6...
he sold one to my friend with a 99 civic and it fits below the hood and has a brace/skidplate for the oil pan...by far the toughest and most protected look I have seen for a j-series in a civic!!!
it'll be fine in the rain.. I've driven mine for 5 hours in the pouring rain and no problems

Ya, mine has been driven for hours in the rain with no hood at all. Even was outside for 12" of snow this winter. No issues.
