Hi, my name's Chris and I'm from Cincinnati, OH. I have been a long time member of V6P and 6thgenaccord. I joined mainly to further educate myself on the j32a2 + 6spd swap. I plan on doing the MT soon and the motor later. I've only heard good things about this site and its members so I look forward to contributing, but mostly learning. I also joined to try to network and find resources for parts/service, and see where others have gotten their swaps done. I don't live on SoCal so finding a good shop that is both reputable and accomplished is quite difficult. lol

Needless to say, I am currently looking for a 6spd out of a CL-S, TL, or if need be a 7GA.

Yeah I'm at the Honda dealer on Rt.4 all the time. I was looking at Total Performance and Zerolift for doing my swap, but I haven't heard very good things. Do you know of any other places that would know how to do the 6spd swap for my car?

welcome welcome to another V6per

Thanks!

I have a buddy that runs slowmotion up by columbus and they do really good work... Rob up at TPR is a good guy but i havnt had him do any swaps for me i just buy parts there. I ususally do my own work unless its some kind of machining or tuning. Me and a buddy have a garage down here and we do swaps and performance stuff for some of the local kids down here

Slowmotion, huh? I'll have to check them out. I'm from Columbus originally so I'm up there several times a year.

So you and your buddy's garage, is it a place you rent or do you just do side jobs out of one of your own garages? Ever done a 6spd swap on a 98-02 AV6?

We do pretty much anything acura or honda, like wire tucks, brake line tucks, D-B-H-K and J series swaps, suspension and anything else performance wise. We have a buddy that does all our paint and body work for us too. Im kinda new to the j swap stuff still but there is a write up on the web on how to do ur swap and what u will need to do it. So im rather confident i could do it

Nice, sounds like you guys have a good thing going. So your group has not previously swapped a 6spd tranny into a 98-02 AV6?

Btw, I don't mean to be rude, but do you guys mind taking the hood conversation to PM's? Thanks.
