I have a 04 and a 07 TL longblock, the 07 needs 1 rod n is lower miles, better condition, which would be more ideal for the swap; but the 04 needs more than 1 rod(not sure how many) and has been sitting around longer.

I was under the impression that it would be easier to use the 04 block tho cuz I thought u could only bolt a 07-08 TL-S tranny to the 07 block due to the differences in the bolt patterns. but then I came across someone who used a 07 TL-S tranny on a 03 CL-S motor which would mean I should be able to go the other way n use the 07 block with a older year TL/CL/Accord tranny, is this possible, I also have the harness for the 07 too which would enable me to use that harness with the 07 motor.

Pics of what I'm talking bout from both motors I have(not the greatest):

Certified Racing is doing a swap, and said they are using an 03 cl type s engine 08 tl type s trans....so apparently it'll work. I do know the 09 TL engine is different, but until then the only other different one is a couple years of the MDX I believe.
