PM Don at RPM systems. He is the only person (that I know of, and i know everything) that has been able to make that motor type/ecu type work.

ohh, you dont have to change any of the sensors. The auto motor is identicle to the manual motor. And from the last I checked you were using a 06 TL ecu. You will need to make sure to get some kind of piggie back, ie: aem fic, or emanage in order to tine the bigger motor.

just make sure that you can get a matching key for it as i have not found a good solution for getting around the key immobilizer. the ecu number you talking about is a 06 TL sport navi edition only ( rda-a24) . 04-05 TL sport edition (rda-a04 or a07) has some different property's that the 06 ecu . 06 - 08 has the design to be reprogram with different fuel and trimming maps.
the unit is from hypertech.

Hypertech’s engineers have cracked the code to bring their award winning, high performance engine tuning to the sport tuner market.
The sport tuner enthusiast no longer has to pay for expensive dyno time because the Max Energy Sport is complete with optimized tunes developed specifically to get the most out of late model imports. Max Energy Sport’s Power Tuning software extracts every bit of energy possible out of every molecule of fuel for more miles at part-throttle and more power at wide-open throttle. In order to increase engine efficiency, horsepower and torque, Hypertech’s engineers first make hundreds of dyno runs to optimize the spark and air-fuel curves point by point over the entire rpm band from just off idle to wide open throttle. Next they take the vehicle with the new tune to the track and the street to verify real world performance gains. The results: maximum power, quicker acceleration, smoother shifting and better drivability.
The Max Energy Sport also offers specific features for your make, model and year, so you can personalize your vehicle’s performance to suit specific needs or uses:
* RPM “rev” Limiter
* Top-Speed Limiter
* V-TEC Controller (Honda/Acura Only)
* 0-60 mph Electronic Throttle Restriction
* Read & Clear Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs)
* Return to Stock or Change Option Settings
* Internet Updateable
so with that said it will soon be posible to get really into the code and miss with the fuel and timing maps .

HybridRacing.com makes a "immobilizer delete" box that you wire into your ecu or harness (I can't remember). I know it is for the K-series. It should work for the J-series. Give it a shot. It costs 249 dollars.

the "immobilizer delete" box that you talk about only works on the k swaps from 02- early 05. after that the immobilizer system change to a single duplex wire for the anti thief system. the k swap box has a two wire systems for the immobilizer to work. if you are doing the DBW system from 04 to 07 at this time ' YOU MUST HAVE THE MATCHING KEY TO THE ECU. if not you will have a hard time getting the engine started.

with your car you can use any of the J flywheels that you want . you don't need to have a flywheel for that engine. the only one that you need to have a special flywheel is a 03 CL Type-S 6 speed

You cannot use that flywheel on a j35a8. You will need the j35a8 flywheel, and j35a8 starter. the flywheels are different. And the starters are different. I cant give you the exact specs, but i was told it is the ring gear, and the transmissions are different how the starter mounts.
What tranny are you using? I have a flywheel for sale

The A8 motor is different. The transmission mounts up different, and requires a different starter, therefore requires a different flywheel.

RPM Systems... i have a quick question... i know now that you cannot rewrite an auto ecu... but cant you rewrite a manual? if so could i use the 03 cl-s ecu or my 02 tl j32a2 auto motor with 06 accord tranny as long as RPM systems makes my harness? or is there too much i will need to bother with running a manual ecu? is it possible at all? thanks again for all your help

I'm using the 6m/t of j32a2, I saw that the differences with that of j35a8, and only the flange (which I was able to adapt to the motor).
So the solution is' to use the flywheel and starter j35a8? where can I find these pieces at a good price?
:confused:
if I could solve this last problem, I may be satisfied job...
thanks to everyone for their help and for your interest!

well if you got the 03 cl 6 speed MT to work on your j35a8 then , why cant you use the flywheel and the clutch?
00crv6?

looking at service manuals the j35a8 mt starter looks the same as the j32a2 mt starter in the overhaul exploded views, however these pictures are not always the most accurate.
at the least it looks as if there was a difference with the flywheel/starter gears and you had both starters and both flywheels it should be able to be made to work.
