first of all, technical forums like this site are f'n awesome. who ever is running this site, thank you. reminds me a lot of k20a.org.

i have a friend that picked up a tl-s 08 motor for dirt cheap. him and i are both knowledgeable about honda four bangers, but v6's are like another set of encyclopedia we will have to research.

please keep in mind that this will most likely be going into a smaller shell, like a civic.

so far, about this particular motor (j35a8), i have read a few things but i would like to clarify because of the information being hearsay or there's no exact proof of knowledge. (with this being a newer motor and all, there will be less information in comparison to the other generations of J's.)

but here are a few of questions:

i have read about the drive-by-wire, and that there's no drive by throttle solution as of yet. is this correct?

we'll need the pedals, if you cannot change to drive by throttle, of course. but what about engine management? aem solution out yet?

regarding transmissions, i think it is recommended to use the tl-s 07-08 tranny because this particular tranny is beefed up for the extra HP. that, i believe. what i'm having a hard time trying to figure out is: does it mount the same as other j-series trannys?

any help would be appreciated. thank you.
